FOCUS PROFILE STYLE: C/S/D

GENERAL OBSERVATIONS

The C/S/D Focus Style has a primary need for being correct and safe BUT secondarily wants to be dominant in the environment. This creates a natural tension within because correctness and stability requires an element of consistency at a slower pace and a dominant need requires elements of risk, challenge, and speedy results. The resulting behavior is that the C/S/D will be a “precise” and systematic thinker that will achieve dominance based upon facts, details and systems. The C/S/D Focus Style reduces the risk elements that exist in projects or new relationships and approaches people and projects in a logical/systematic manner. The C/S/D, like the S/D/C and C/D/S, also brings in “team” qualities that minimize the demand for individuality that is present in the D, D/C, and C/D Focus Styles. Somewhat like the S/D/C and C/D/S, the C/S/D has expectations of loyalty, demonstrates an ability for peacemaking within the team, and wants to be appreciated and respected for the skills, ideas and leadership brought to the table.
