FOCUS PROFILE STYLE: D/C/S

GENERAL OBSERVATIONS

The D/C/S Focus Style, its partner the D/S/C is dominant and decisive by using information, logical thinking processes and system development to complete tasks. The main difference is the D/C/S is less demanding of team supports and systems/processes to reach task completion. The D/C/S can get caught spending too much time gathering the details and being relationally cold and direct. The D/C/S does not seek to control the environment with verbal communication but controls by aggressively sticking to the facts of the situation. The D/C/S will work with the team but is not strongly dependent upon that team—more independent or individualistic than the D/S/C. These people do like a steady and stable environment that doesn’t change quickly or often. Strong leadership potential exists here but the D/C/S has to be sensitive to time constraints and cultivate warmer communication skills with people.
