FOCUS PROFILE STYLE: S/D/I

GENERAL OBSERVATIONS

The S/D/I Focus style is people oriented with a motivation to be dominant and decisive in the environment. Capable of being articulate and friendly, the S/D/I influences and gains results through people. Relationships drive their leadership and results-oriented style. Their decision making is tempered by their consideration of the people involved and is most often based on feelings rather than facts. The S/D/I moves faster than others with the S Focus style and is willing to take on some challenge and risk. Because they can be tempted to make decisions based on feelings, they may need to be supported by a fact-gatherer (someone with a measure of the C style) who can provide them with information and systems that brings excellence and balance to the decision-making process. Viewed by others as someone with a “listening ear” and very understanding, it can be a surprise to them when the S/D/I takes a firm decision posture in opposition to them.
